I remember amma saying that when paati was pregnant with her, she got smallpox and became seriously ill. Then I believe people prayed that periya uyir pozhaikkanum even if the child doesn't - because it was a big family to take care of. But the chinna uyir was a survivor 😀.
She was recently telling me about her school days - she won many running races, one of which involved balancing a ball on a spoon while running.
